This album is all original music based on traditional Cuban styles of music.

Sinaly Papus Diabaté & the Kanouya Band -
Kara Bara (2004)

This is an album of traditional music from Mali, West Africa. There are superb musicians featured throughout. Lindsey appears for just one track - "Yiriba ye". This song had regular radio play in Bamako, Mali during 2004. For a translation of the lyrics, see the LYRICS page.

This recording is a collection of the best recordings of Lindsey's work between 1999 and 2003. It features extracts from previous demos, and albums.

Sinaly Papus Diabaté and the Kanouya Band -
(Untitled) (2002)
This album was recorded mostly in Zurich during a rare meeting of the Kanouya Band with Sinaly Papus Diabaté. (The album was never widely released).

Lindsey Schust -
Sogonikun Suite (2001)
This recording features a piece which fuses classical instrumentation/ harmony/ melody with the instruments and polyrythms of West-Africa and the Carribean. There are four movements with different characteristics - 1. classical, 2. West African percussion, 3. West African song (in Yoruba), 4. fusion of classical/West African styles/instruments. This piece represents the conclusion of nearly a decade of training in classical/ jazz music and West African music. (this album was never widely released)
